Basicrum Public Beta Terms

These terms cover the free hosted Basicrum public beta. Please read them before requesting an invitation.

Joining and your free period

The public beta is for people setting up Basicrum monitoring for an organization. To request access, provide the organization's name and a work email address. We send an invitation to that address so the first user can create an account.

Your organization's four months of free hosted access start when that first user accepts the invitation and creates the account. Requesting an invitation does not start the period. There is no charge for using the beta during that period.

What to expect from the beta

Basicrum is experimental during the beta. Features may change; bugs and service interruptions are possible. We may extend, change, suspend or end the beta, including before an organization's four-month period is over. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of significant changes or the end of access. The beta has no guaranteed availability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Leaving the beta and your data

You may leave at any time by emailing tsto@basicrum.com. You do not need to wait for the end of the four months. If you installed a monitoring integration, disable it on your website to stop sending new measurements while we handle your request.

Unless you expressly choose to continue under separate terms before your beta participation ends, we will delete your beta account and its associated monitoring data within 14 days after participation ends. This applies whether you leave early or your beta access ends. Records we must retain by law are treated separately. Our Public Beta Privacy Notice explains how the hosted service processes data.

After the free period

Before your access ends, we may offer you a paid way to continue using Basicrum and keep your account and monitoring data. Continuing is your choice. We will explain any offer and its terms before asking you to decide. You will not be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription or charged without actively agreeing to it.

Messages and feedback

We may email you information needed to administer the beta, including important service changes and when access will end. Feedback is optional. We may use feedback you choose to share to improve Basicrum. We will ask for separate permission before publishing a testimonial or displaying your name, organization name or logo with it.
